HALLOWEEN in New Orleans

New Orleans.com  for  more  info!

I am so happy New Orleans is recovering and getting back up to speed. What a crazy wild town it is! And  GAY!  The  French Quarter is  sleazy, decadent, and  just crazy!  Besides  Southern Decadence and Mardis GrasHalloween is a fun time to be there. All the big DJ’s  come to these parties. Lydia Prim, Susan Moribito, Joe Gauthreaux, Manny Lehman, Phil B, and Tracy Young!   October 26th – 29th, 2006 this year is when all the madness will take place.

OZ and Bourbon Pub Parade are the big players here. The Pub is the longest continuously operating gay nightclub in the country.

Where To Stay?

The City of New Orleans is comprised of dozens of distinct and intimate neighborhoods, each with unique ambiance and attractions.  Most visitors prefer the convenience of staying in or very near to the French Quarter.  Areas adjacent to the French Quarter include the Central Business District, the Marigny, and the Garden District.

Many Halloween visitors come year after year and reserve their hotel rooms up to 12 months ahead of time.  Making arrangements for your hotel accommodations well in advance
will ensure access to the best rates and rooms.

Getting to back to Halloween, there is an annual huge benefit held at the New Orleans Arena. There are 3 nights, with Saturday being the biggest. Over $3.5 million donated to Project Lazarus since 1987. So there is lots to do! It’s a matter of deciding and choosing what to do and when.
