American Airlines and US Airways Possible Merger Today
Later today American Airlines is supposed to make a BIG ANNOUNCEMENT. Employees we talked to to AA say they expect to hear about the rumored merger with US Airways.
It is believed that 2 will merge – but will remain separate entities for a period of seven years. The current board at AA would be fired and AA would now play by US Airways rules and guidelines. The merger could yield $1.5 Billion per year in revenue and savings.
