Gogobot Brings Popular Social Travel Service to iPhone with New App
Gogobot, the world’s leading social travel site, announced its new Gogobot App for iPhone is now available on the App Store. Gogobot transforms how we explore new places and capture and share our travel experiences by allowing users to harness the power of their social networks to exchange trusted travel advice and share trip plans and rich visual travel memories.
The app extends Gogobot’s unique social travel experience to iPhone users, allowing them to create and share real-time digital postcards, find nearby restaurants, hotels and attractions, and access personalized trip plans.
“Travel is all about discovering new experiences and sharing them with your friends and family,” said Travis Katz, Gogobot co-founder and CEO. “With the Gogobot App you can capture, personalize, and instantaneously share your favorite moments with richly-styled digital postcards, as well as explore what’s nearby and what your friends have recommended.”
Users of the app can select their current location, snap a photo and choose from more than ten different styles and filters to transform their photos (or photos from Gogobot’s extensive catalogue) into beautiful, geo-tagged digital postcards. Users can rate the places they have been to on the fly, write reviews and share the postcards immediately with friends via Facebook or Twitter. Each postcard is added automatically to a user’s Gogobot Guide on Gogobot.com, creating a lasting, magazine-style spread to help users remember and share all of the places they’ve visited.
The Gogobot App also allows users to access the trip plans that they’ve created on their Gogobot.com profiles, including maps, reviews and more. Additionally, the ‘Nearby’ function lists the best restaurants, hotels and attractions automatically based on a user’s location. Similar to Gogobot.com, the app sorts destinations based on your friends’ ratings, providing an efficient and curated tool to help you make the most of your travels.
The Gogobot App is available for free from the App Store.

Print vs. Digital Online Advertising in the LGBT Gay Travel Market
As a group, gays and lesbians spend $64.5 billion, yes billion, annually in the U.S. travel market, according to Community Marketing Inc., a gay-market research group based in San Francisco.
Surveys also show 85% of People Find What They Are
Looking For by Using Search Engines. Many consumers look online to find the most current, most up to date information.
“There has been a huge shift from print to online,” says Derrick Sorles, of Business Blogging Consultants in Chicago. “The Yellow Pages have become archaic to many people .”
Print magazines are shutting down left and right in major metropolitan marketplaces. More and more people use their computers to find the information they want and need. This is the Web 2.0 world we live in! 50% of all consumers, search ONLINE FIRST, before leaving the house!
The top 100 advertisers in the U.S., who represent 41 percent of total advertising spending, shifted about $1 billion last year from TV and newspapers to the Web. An analysis from Ad Age shows that overall media spending in “measured” categories (TV, print, radio, Web) by the top 100 advertisers was flat in 2007, with 0.3 percent growth to $61.3 billion. But spending on Web display ads rose 33 percent to $4.2 billion.
The article notes:
Put another way, these top-tier marketers increased measured Internet spending by $1 billion; slashed newspaper spending by $674 million; and cut TV budgets by $406 million.
This is yet one more piece of evidence that dollars are flowing from traditional media to the Web. The analysis is based on data from TNS Media Intelligence for 2007. TNS only measures display advertising, and not search.
- In most cases, digital Internet advertising is much less expensive than print.
- Reach a worldwide audience online – people searching and surfing for the news, information and entertainment on a specific site.
- SPEED – Get the word out faster digitally. In just minutes news, info and ad specials can be LIVE. No pesky deadlines.
ADVERTISERS can have a presence on our LGBT travel network for $50 a MONTH OR LESS – if you choose to advertise across multiple sites!
There is no better time to try advertising online then now!email me today or give me a call, and let me show you how. 773-878-5323

LGBT Travel – What’s Hot? and What’s Not? in Gay and Lesbian Tourism
Top Ten Findings
from CMI’s 14th Annual
Gay & Lesbian Tourism Survey
For the past 14 years, Community Marketing, Inc. (CMI) has been conducting its Annual Gay & Lesbian Tourism Study, the most comprehensive and longest-running such survey in the LGBT marketplace.
Many of the questions are asked in consistent ways to a similar study panel, in order to identify LGBT travel trends and changes over time. The following “top ten” list presents findings that the CMI research team views as important changes or observations from the past year. For those new to CMI’s research, all the questions provide important insight into the travel motivations, preferences and interests of gay men and lesbians.
1) Gay Men and Lesbian Booking Patterns
Gays and lesbians are primarily booking their travel directly via airline and hotel websites (56%) or through online travel agencies such as Travelocity or Orbitz (34%). Direct booking is significantly more important than web-based travel services, so for travel suppliers, developing relationships with the gay and lesbian community to encourage direct booking through your own website is extremely important.
2) For the First Time in 15 years of sampling — A Decrease in LGBT Travel
For the first time since our first study in 1994, CMI has seen a decrease in LGBT travel due to the deep and wide-reaching recession. In the 2009 survey, nearly all travel categories saw some loss (except for regional travel). Business travel and cruise travel were the hardest-hit categories. That said, far more LGBT travelers took cruises in the past year than their mainstream counterparts (as in previous years), indicating that LGBT travelers are a viable cruise market even in down economies.
3) Recession-Influenced Travel Decreases Affecting Small and Medium-Sized Markets Worse than Big Markets
Every major city in North America except for Washington DC (perhaps an Obama effect) saw a decrease in gay and lesbian travel over the past 12 months. That decrease affected cities very differently. Major markets, including New York City, San Francisco and Las Vegas saw only small leisure travel decreases, usually less than 5%, while medium sized cities, destinations that are geographically isolated, and some resort towns saw more significant decreases over 10%, and for some, over 20%.
4) Staycations
Staycations were the only travel category to see an increase in 2009. When asked to specify how many regional drive vacations (i.e. including at least one night in a hotel) were taken, 66% indicated taking a longer regional drive vacation of more than two hours; 42% took a regional drive vacation where the drive was two hours or less; 14% took a trip where they stayed in a hotel in their own city. This trend should benefit some metropolitan markets. Cities such as Boston, New York, Philadelphia and Washington DC, which are all close to each other, will probably “trade” stays among LGBT residents.
5) How to Reach the LGBT Community
CMI has been tracking advertising trends for LGBT travel marketing for over a decade. In general, the survey shows substantive increases in the influence of traveler reviews on travel websites and blogs, a softening of the influence of banner ads on mainstream and LGBT websites, and a remarkable resilience of the influence of travel articles in LGBT and mainstream print publications.
6) Interest in Health and Fitness While Traveling is Down
CMI has seen a trend over the past few years showing that health and fitness while traveling are becoming less important to the LGBT community. In this survey, when given a long list of potential motivators, health and fitness-related responses were near the bottom of the motivators, and often last on the lists. From hotel gyms to health and fitness vacations, they all scored poorly. This is not to say that health and fitness are not important in the day-to-day lives of gay men and lesbians, but bringing these healthy habits with them on leisure or business travel has shown less importance over time. It could also indicate that with tightening budgets, LGBT travelers prefer to spend more time enjoying the sights and experiences of the destination, rather than spend limited time in a gym.
7) Pride Events are Important
Unaffected by recessionary influences, nearly a quarter of the respondents reported traveling to another city and spending at least one night in a hotel to attend a Pride event; same as previous years. Nationally, Pride events continue to move millions of hotel nights in the Unites States, and Pride remains an important motivator for LGBT travelers under 35.
8) Strength of Local Neighborhoods
Further confirming other recent research conducted by CMI, gays and lesbians tend to be especially interested in visiting city neighborhoods and experiencing local, non-chain restaurants. In fact, going to neighborhood restaurants and visiting the gay neighborhood were the top activities enjoyed by gays and lesbians when visiting a destination.
9) Top Travel Brands
As an unaided question, survey participants were asked to fill in a blank for in the destination, hotel brand, and airline that they felt had done the best job in outreaching to the LGBT community.
Of the total sample, 3,800 responded to the destination question. The top destinations indicated were: Las Vegas: 11%, San Francisco: 10%, Fort Lauderdale: 7%, Philadelphia: 6%, Provincetown: 5%, and London: 5%.
Of the total sample, 2,800 responded to the hotel question. The top hotel brands indicated were: W Hotels: 11%, Kimpton Hotels: 11%, Hilton: 9%, Hyatt: 8%, and Marriott: 7%.
Of the total sample, 3,287 responded to the airline question. The top airlines indicated were: American Airlines: 38%, Southwest: 15%, Delta: 11% and Virgin: 3%.
10) Top Destinations
CMI’s list of top destinations remains amazingly consistent from year to year (based on the question of where did you travel in the past 12 months, and spend at least one night in a hotel). The following lists are reflective of the 4,726 American LGBT survey takers, who traveled to the city in the past 12 months and spent at least one night in a hotel:
Top US Destinations for American LGBT Travelers, with percentage who visited and spent a nigt in a hotel (as Combined Leisure & Business Travel Ranking)
1) New York City: 32%
2) San Francisco: 27%
3) Las Vegas: 26%
4) Chicago: 25%
5) Los Angeles / West Hollywood: 24%
6) Washington, DC: 23%
7) Fort Lauderdale: 17%
8) San Diego: 15%
9) Orlando: 14%
9) Seattle: 14%

Timeshare Relief Helps Timeshare Owners Get Out of Timeshare
The economy has affected everyone in the last few years, and timeshare owners are no exception. To buy a timeshare was once a novel concept – it was an exclusive form of vacation ownership.
But with a glut of resorts, soaring maintenance fees, no timeshare resale market, a hard to sell timeshare, the idea of fractional ownership was no longer appealing. A timeshare’s value is tied to travel habits and location. And, when owners’ circumstances change, they can sour on their properties and look to resell.
Timeshare Relief, Inc.™ was started in January 2004 by two former timeshare owners: Cindy Martin MacMillan and David MacMillan.
Cindy and David bought their timeshare in 1999 and quickly found out that a timeshare contract stopped making sense! They tried using their timeshare by following the rules and making an effort to make their reservations in advance, however with their busy schedules and four children, it proved to be difficult to find a week where they wanted to go, when they wanted to go.
Also, the maintenance fees were unexpectedly increasing, and that was something they did not anticipate. Their troubles were compounded when they tried to sell their timeshare through a well-known “listing company” but received no offers or buyers, despite paying a hefty advertising fee twice. They couldn’t get rid of their timeshare.
After speaking with other timeshare owners, Cindy and David realized that their experiences were all too common. That is why Timeshare Relief, Inc.™ was started: To provide RELIEF to dissatisfied timeshare owners. Not only do their clients NEVER receive another timeshare assessment or timeshare maintenance fee billing, they are also provided with a financial solution that saves them money. This Guaranteed Timeshare Relief Solution© will completely and permanently terminate their client’s entire ownership of their timeshare(s), and terminate all future financial responsibilities regarding their timeshare(s). Title transfers are handled by professionally licensed, bonded, and insured title agencies.
It’s hardly paradise for people selling their timeshares as complaints about resale companies are increasing. If you have tried tosell your timeshare through a listing company with no luck, your Timeshare Relief, Inc.™ Team is ready to help you. Your timeshare must be paid in full and your current Maintenance Fees and Special Assessments up to date. Timeshare Relief DOES NOT charge a Listing Fee, Advertising Fee or Appraisal Fee promising to transfer the property once a “phantom” buyer is secured. The transfers are handled by the undisputed industry leader in freeing families of the obligation of their Timeshare contracts.
TRUST – Timeshare Relief has gotten the stamp of approval from many organizations including The Los Angeles Business Journal, D&B, American Resort Development Association and the Better Business Bureau. Plus, hundreds of happy clients !
“We are so grateful to have the opportunity to introduce ourselves and our company Timeshare Relief, Inc.™
We started our company in January 2004 after our personal experience was not the slice of paradise we thought it would be. Our story began in 1999 when we took our four kids on a family vacation to Las Vegas. We were promised gifts if we attended a 90-minute presentation. Despite our mutual agreement not to buy “anything,” we walked away from the tour as owners of a $17,000 timeshare. Our family tried using the timeshare many times, but with a list of rules and restrictions, it proved to be impossible to schedule a reservation.
The maintenance fees kept increasing and our frustration was mounting. We tried to sell the timeshare, and even tried giving it away and many other unsuccessful attempts to get rid of it with no results. We started researching and realized that many families were having the same experience. We opened up our doors to Timeshare Relief, Inc.™ in 2004 and now have helped over 38,000 timeshare owners providing guaranteed financial relief and peace of mind. We invite you to call us at 800-588-1582 to discover about our Guaranteed Timeshare Relief Solution ©.
Best Wishes,
David and Cindy MacMillan

I HateTaxis.com An International Travelers’ Transportation Guide
Several pages of scribbled notes were drawn up on the idea to an ongoing problem and possible solution that travelers (namely themselves) faced in their various global travel pursuits – GROUND TRANSPORTATION OPTIONS.
Sure one can book their plane ticket, hotel room, car rental, and even attractions online but something very important was amiss in the new age of travel e-convenience. Simply put, how does one get from the airport to their desired destination and where does one find all of these ground transportation options in a centralized website location?
Like most travelers out there, both brothers have individually and collectively experienced the shark tank feeding frenzy of extortion at various airports as soon as one clears customs with your luggage. Looking dumbfounded, not knowing the going rates of services, and being hassled after a long flight most often leaves you in a state of complete vulnerability.
The common resultant outcome is that you end up paying a ridiculous amount of money to get to your hotel and sometimes this unfortunately shapes your first impression of the city or country you are in. The name of this website is thus a half jocular expression of this frustration.
The website concept then expanded to include information about country profiles (including cultural tips), medical information, electrical information, visas, lost luggage, currency conversion and the list keeps expanding. This was done to avoid surfing several different other websites for this information or shelling out a small fortune for a country guide book every time you step on a plane. Guide books can also become out of date relatively quickly.
“Our primary goal is to provide a FREE centralized & constantly updated global ground transportation repository so that travelers like ourselves are empowered upon arrival. We do make recommendations based on our research and if you do not agree with our thoughts please let us know why. If several individuals are not happy with a particular airport shuttle service in Miami, for example, then we will seriously look at revising our recommendation. “

Flight Tracking Service – Arrived OK
Travelling by air is full of uncertainties, from delays to cancellations to lost bags. Savvy travellers can already use Delaycast to assess their chances of having to wait longer than they’d planned, and now another brand-new service helps them notify the people who matter to them once they finally land safely on the ground.
ArrivedOK, a new service from Texas-based Eyeline Communications, lets air travellers automatically alert others that they’ve arrived at their destination.
You know the scene…the plane lands…and what happens? Everyone grabs a cell phone to call or send an arrival message to somebody — mother or father, wife or husband, girlfriend or boyfriend, colleague or boss, or maybe even a trick!
“ArrivedOK performs your Personal Arrival Tracking rather then just flight tracking. We track your cell phone in the visiting mobile network when you switch it on upon your arrival. Then we send ‘Arrived OK’ SMS message to the list of your recipients.”

Gay Beach Season! Head to the Beach With Something Unique from Spain – ES COLLECTION Barcelona
is just weeks away!
(Depending on where you live…)
and if you want something NO ONE ELSE has yet, this hot new line from Barcelona is what you need!
ES COLLECTION
Previously only available in Spain, it is spreading worldwide this year, but still in limited quantities.
Now going into its fourth year of production they will be unveiling the 2010 underwear collection this fall in the US. I just got back from Barcelona and bought a couple of the swimsuits from the 2009 collection – VERY HOT! Clean lines, fresh styles, bold color combinations and amazing fit!
This swimwear and underwear for men, is honestly some of the hottest styles we have seen with PERFECT construction and craftsmanship. Made in Barcelona, “ES tries to be unique, different and fresh in a market that is fast and more brands are joining this fast market every day. Made in Barcelona with the best fabrics that we can get from the EU market but still we can be competitive with any other brand out there on quality, price, design and delivery.”
Their designs have a wonderful cut to them, accenting your body perfectly! I purchased some of their men’s underwear and men’s swimwear, and they fit comfortable and like a glove! Many of the swimsuits features the “Pack Up” system which can easily be removed if aren’t in the mood for extra padding however is perfect for giving you that perfect “beach bulge” if you want it! It does not make your package look HUGE or anything. But it just accentuates your own package nicely and provides a wonderful smooth fit.
One of the great things about ES Collection Swimwear is the high quality of craftsmanship. With extras like the metal grommet holes and the plastic tips on the drawstring you’ll never have to “fish” out the drawstring. They also use high quality zippers, rubber logos, and just overall high quality finishing.
Word of advice for Americans – As for sizing, I would suggest, if ordering from the US, order 1 size larger than usual. Both my partner and I are 32-33″ waist, and would normally buy Medium – but their Large fits perfect. I always find European clothes run smaller than most US brands are labeled.
And who doesn’t love a SALE! Each collection features “X” number of pieces in so many sizes. Each year when the new collection is launched, anything that did not sell from the previous collection, is marked down! So when you visit their website ES COLLECTION, make sure you check out the SALE OUTLET.
MUST SEE – VIDEO of the NEWEST ES STYLES and all of their HOT models!
If you are visiting Barcelona, stop by their main store and see the entire collection on display.
Consell de Cent, 218 and right around the corner is ES4U, the outlet store at Casanova, 56!
They also have a shop at 35007 Las Palmas de G.C., Carnary Islands and soon will have stores in Bilbao, Valencia, and Madrid!
And of course, you can order worldwide via their ES COLLECTION site!

GLAMPING and the Clayoquot Wildness Resort
clayoqout wildness resort glamping british columbia tofino outdoor vacations Turbo Tagger
GLAMPING? What is it?? I just found out!
While doing some research I came across Clayoquot Wilderness Resort and their blog. They are located in the fragile Clayoquot Sound Biosphere reserve near the seaside village of Tofino, British Columbia.
In the decade since opening, the resort has grown its ‘soft adventure and soft beds’ program into one of the most exclusive and unique vacation offerings in the world.
Clayoquot Wilderness Resort promises discriminating travellers an ultra-luxurious eco-destination, four-star accommodations, otherworldly coastal cuisine, super natural adventure, and some of the most breathtakingly beautiful wilderness frontier left on the planet.
Glamping- It’s on everyone’s lips. So why not provide a definition, especially from us, the original glamping destination outside of Africa. We’ve been glamping for over eight years, so as a glamping authority here is our definition.
Glamping is:
• Stepping into the middle of a rainforest after a fresh rain
• Feeding eagles from the side of your kayak
• Horseback riding in the morning and deep sea fishing in the afternoon
• Enough fresh air to make you dizzy
• Able to push your comfort levels
• Dodging black bears
• Five star Adirondack amenities
• A hot stone massage on the side of a rushing river
• Able to remind you of times gone by
• A place where your family can join you
• Unlimited choice- when you want to dine, when you want to play, when you want to relax
• Socializing
Glamping is not:
• Your typical 5 star experience
• A chocolate on your pillow
• Just a place to put your head at night
• A minibar
• Dodging traffic
• A suit and tie for dinner
• Where you play video games
• Dinner and a movie
• Stuffiness
• Solitary
I hope this helps in explaining what ‘true’ glamping is, from the mouths of those that started the trend.

Sensing an opening in the marketplace for a travel information website that allowed gays and lesbians to search for venues and events in a given location during specified dates, the Gaypedia.com team dove headfirst into building a social networking site where their team as well as members would add content, upload photos and videos, and produce travel diaries about events and vacations that could be shared with gaypedia friends around the globe. “The gay world changes so quickly that we were finding information in travel guides to be constantly out-of-date or inaccurate,” says Ryan Haynes, Gaypedia.com’s Marketing Manager. “With such a large international gay community and pride festivals getting bigger and bigger we designed a site where gays and lesbians can find everything in one place.” Simultaneously the site also hopes to keep the international GLBT community up to date on the gay friendly destinations where they can safely vacation without fear of discrimination or homophobia, as well as places within the boundaries of less gay friendly destinations that are gay and lesbian havens. “It was essential we included a section detailing legislation and equality for homosexuals in each destination, many countries still discriminate against us however there is often a strong underground gay scene. Gaypedia will give travelers the insider information,” Haynes said. Gaypedia.com expects to eventually branch out into all aspects of gay and lesbian lifestyles to provide an integrated interactive information portal, but will launch with over 45 destinations, 1,500 venues and nearly 100 events worldwide as well as its fully integrated Gaypedia mapping service which identifies where all venues and events are within a chosen city, courtesy of a gay Googling tool.
According to an article at GayWired this weekend, Gaypedia.com , a new online travel information and social networking portal that aims to become the largest database of destinations, venues and events specifically designed for the gay and lesbian community officially launched this week

Dieux Du Stade GODS OF THE STADIUM French Rugby Team
CAN’T GET TO FRANCE YOU SAY??? NO WORRIES!
DIEUX DU STADE WILL WARM YOUR COCKLES THIS WINTER!
About 6-7 years ago, the French Rugby team created a calander.
The first couple years were hit and miss. But in 2005, IT WAS A HIT!
Dieux du Stade (English: Gods of the Stadium) is the title of several very popular calendars published in the 2000s featuring nude and semi-nude photographs of members of the Stade Français, the French national rugby team, and in more recent years, players from other rugby union clubs and athletes from other sports. The erotic poses and high class photography has led to the annual calendars becoming widely sought after among heterosexual females and homosexual males worldwide. The first calendar was released for 2001 but it wasn’t until the 2004 calendar that the “making of” DVDs were released.
The photographers have been Kris Gautier (for the 2001 and 2002 calendars), Mathias Vriens (2003), François Rousseau (2004), Carter Smith (2005), Fred Goudon (2006), and Mariano Vivanco (2007).
2007 is the 4th installment of the Dieux Du Stade (Gods of the Stadium) series which features the French Rugby Team and their friends filmed completely nude as they pose for a calendar photo shoot. This DVD is a documentary of the photo shoot, giving a behind the scenes look at what goes into creating this successful line of calendars. The film includes everything from set selection to the actual taking of the pictures and everything in between.
There’s lots of penis revealed this year, while not all the models show dick, enough do to make it interesting.
